      • By the way, I enjoyed trying to find out the meaning of the word butterfly but I didn’t come up with any satisfactory answer. That will be a challenge for 2013; to keep searching.

  4. First time here – what a difference from my USA Pacific Northwest, especially at this time of year. But it’s beautiful here, too – just different. I really enjoyed the variety of colors and shapes on the butterflies – especially the 6th and 7th photos – they’re all gems!

    • Thank you very much Henry. I found photographing butterfly is very challenging and mostly difficult to isolate it from background. I highly appreciate your nice comment on this. 🙂

    • Thank you so much. I am using Nikon D90 with 18-105mm kit lens for these photos. I am still learning and just started 4 months ago I hope it’s not too late to learn and I found photography is challenging to fill my spare time after retirement. I must learn a lot from you 🙂

      • I have two more lenses, nikor 70-300mm, 4.5-5.6G a bit heavy! and Tokina 11-16, 2.8 wide angle very good one. Actually D700 is my dream. 🙂 . I highly appreciate if you would like to make critique separately at pleisbilongtumi@gmail.com when you have time so I can easily correct my photography works. meantime I learn it from books and articles about photography.
