  1. That’s more interesting than my visit to the supermarket! Thanks for putting labels on the items. Now we want to see the food that was prepared with the spices you bought🙂

    • Well, I think I prefer to give you some refreshing drink recipe from those ingredients, here you may try: finely grind 1 1/2 cm galingale, 2 cm turmeric. Pour 1 1/2 glass of water then strained, add 1 tbl spoon cane sugar or palm sugar will be better- boil and stir to become 1 glass and let it half cool, pour 1 1/2 tbl spoon rice flour (better self made ground rice) and stir it smoothly add a slice of lime or lemon, Lets see how does it look. this is called “Beras Kencur” as a morning drink for health and increase body scent🙂

      • you know…I forgot to mention…we have a Farmers’ Market from May to October where we have fresh vegetables, plants & flowers in season…we don’t have fruits as we can’t grow them…
