Some Fruits huts selling Mangosteen and Cempedak
.
BUNAR is a village in Cigudeg district, Bogor, West Java, which is crossed by the main road connecting Bogor with Rangkasbitung. The village is crossed by Cidurian river that flows far enough from the Mount Halimun National Park and empties into the estuary in Banten Bay. This cozy village is adorned with the beauty of Cidurian that is flowing along the road.
Bunar quite famous for the fruits and rice produces. Some of them are seasonal fruits such as Mangosteen, Durian (Durio zibethinus) and Cempedak (Artocarpus integer ) . Those three plants usually bear fruit at the same time.
Traveling to Cigudeg on weekend is very interesting. As currently fruit season.

When I came to take the first photo there was no one on the river. A Villager told me to come back at 4 pm for some more interesting attraction. Guess what is that ?… That is the routine afternoon bathing time. Surprising!, and I was fascinated by naked villagers out there. 🙂

That is interesting. In your first photo of the river, I was surprised that no one was in it or on the banks. Now I know why; it was not bathing time.

And the fruit must be delicious too. I have tasted mangosteen but not durian or cempedak. I think cempedak is a bit like Jackfruit or breadfruit which I have tried. I like breadfruit very much. And the seeds of the breadfruit, too.

Yes, that is true. Durian and Cempedak taste very sweet and have very strong scent too.

Absolutely beautiful. I have come back to this post a couple of times. You combined water shorts with everyday activities. The first thought that entered my mind was from Wendell Berry. Thank you!
“It may be that when we no longer know what to do,
we have come to our real work
and when we no longer know which way to go,
we have begun our real journey.
The mind that is not baffled is not employed.
The impeded stream is the one that sings.”

Your photos are wonderful, Muhammad. I want to wade in the water, buy fruits and vegetables at the roadside stands and pick flowers in the field!

Those what were in our minds too, Kathleen. As I came back at 4pm, I saw gentle people there (so many men and women, boys and girls) soaking, wading in the water unclothed whilst the children plunging from the rocks over and over. My mind flew over the water flow then dive with them. :-). Thank you very much for your kind togetherness.

Not so different really – we too have small towns near rivers, roadside wildflowers, sometimes in the daisy family, fern covered tree trunks, and people selling fruit in season. Thank you for helping me see what we have in common.

It is so nice to know the similarity of our parts of the world, Lynn. When I go out of town for what we have in common, I always think those can be uncommon to others. Just like what you do see ordinary things with extraordinary way. I am so happy having you live in the country in mostly similar to mine and I am really fascinated by your works too. Have a great day. – muhammads
