There was only a couple of Chickens last Sunday and shooting their heads was also a thrilling experience to me π

when i read your words, i really thought u shot them with a gun and i thought that is a new way of killing chickens for the pot though rather drastic. … then i realise you meant shot their heads with your camera. haha. they are fine looking birds. must have taken a lot of patience to wait for them to remain still, because the chickens i know, during the time long ago when my grandmother was alive and keeps chickens ; always are moving their heads looking for food.

It is very very interesting! π in Indonesia “Shooting” is used to say taking picture (s) either by a photo camera or movie camera, it sounds so funny. I have guessed that using this word would cause some misunderstanding to the readers. Now, I found the result is definitely true. ha ha ha. Wonderful comment, my friend π

Jangan keci hati, Yessie.

Beautiful photos! I miss my hens (they are not allowed in my city now) and I miss always having the camera out to try to snap the best shots of them! Half always came out in a blurred motion as I could never train them to sit on command π

Oh, I am so sorry to hear it, why is that? the chicken like other avian, very agile for a camera. Lucky, there are many people raise domestic chicken around my place so I can find them easily and they are everywhere. It can be stunning pictures in a half motion blur, like when it spreads wings or fighting. As you know the photography doesn’t always have to focus all, Just post it ! I would love to see them. π

We have pet laws here that make it so we cannot have anything other than dogs or cats and then there is a limit, we can only have 2 pets. Our city thinks chickens spread disease and are pests so they are illegal. Several of the photos I took before I learned about the law and gave the chickens away are here in this article – http://misbehavedwoman.wordpress.com/2013/06/09/a-bird-a-ball/

I have read your post and saw the photos. The chickens were so great and looked healthy and funny. Unfortunately you had to be parted with them, it sounds so sad.
