Sunny Saturday. After a short drive on the silky winding road, we arrive at the intersection at the 27th km from our house which had taken us 40 minutes in average low speed , we turned left taking the road that leads us to a recreational park, namely the Nusantara Flower Garden which is located on the slope of Mount Gede. The road turned differently into a very bad condition, had made us driving more slower, Although we could make it and arrived safely at the final destination. After parking the car, we bought the tickets for two, my daughter and me, then we explore the park on foot.
The garden is huge, too tiring to walk all the way around and we found not so many variety of flowers on it but the same kinds as what the people sell at nurseries along the roads.
Less than a half way walk, we read the map momentarily, seeking for shorter way to walk around but often mislead ourself.
We took a rest for a while, sitting on a long half-round iron bench in front of the Goddess of fertility, drink tea and enjoyed the beautiful view of the surroundings then walk again. Two hours was enough, we were really exhausted.
We took another shortcut again and decided to finish the visit and return home.
On the way back, we were once again trapped at a fantasy land, entering a part of the Jurassic park!
We took some photos with two Brachiosaurus before saying good bye.

Well, maybe it was tiring and there weren’t so many flowers, but it was lovely that you had an outing with your daughter. The flower gardens don’t seem to be crowded at all.

I think that is the reason why it has not so many visitors or maybe the flowers collection is not so special or like my daughter said: “This is not what I had thought in my mind”. 😀

wow, i just know it^^ I think the government should work hard with the National garden. but West Java is better than here because there’s no flower garden in this town or cities near Yogya (or do you know some info about flower garden in central java area, except Semarang. Semarang is out of my way, I lived there). Some photographers have to rent a hotel or someone’s garden for wedding shot.

When I was young, I frequently visit Ambarawa. There were so many flower gardens out there, especially on the slope of Mount Ungaran, close to Gedong Songo temple. This place is one of the larges cut flowers producer on Java. You can also visit Kaliurang which is closer to Yogya. 🙂
