Damselflies (needle dragonflies) are similar to dragonflies but it is usually smaller and are not as agile as dragonflies. Both are insects that belong to the order Odonata. Damselflies can be distinguished by the fact that the wings are held along, and parallel to the body when at rest, dragonflies resting or perch with its wings spread. Both of them typically have beautiful bright colors. The eyes of damselflies are separated, unlike the dragonflies.
Damselflies (capung jarum) mirip dengan capung tapi itu biasanya lebih kecil dan tidak selincah capung. Keduanya adalah serangga yang termasuk urutan Odonata. Damselflies dapat dibedakan oleh hal yang mudah dilihat, sayapnya kuncup bersama, dan sejajar dengan tubuhnya saat istirahat, capung istirahat atau bertengger dengan sayapnya memerentang. Keduanya biasanya memiliki warna-warna cerah yang indah. Mata damselflies terpisah satu dengan yang lainnya, tidak seperti capung.

Iya Mas Chris, Ada serangga yang hampir tidak saya jumpai disekitar sini sekarang, yaitu Kunang-kunang. Kangen banget untuk melihatnya. Dulu sebelum punya kamera foto, banyak yang berterbangan diatas padi, tapi sekarang tidak ada lagi. 😦

both of these insects’ cycle are all year around in our country, we can find it at any time. Damselflies are are rarely found around my place recently, maybe we have damage the habitat.

Perhaps if care is taken, they can recover? They are messengers to Native American women. Their absence is a message of itself. I hope the problem can be fixed.
