This is indeed ‘grand’! Before the statue runs a little child. The little child emphasises even more the big picture.

Ah, a very ambitious project. I suppose it will be finished one day. These things often take a long time.

Where in Bali is this statue?

The Statue is located at a 240 hectares private cultural park on the Bukit Peninsula at the southern end of the island, 15 minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport. A limestone plateau with Uluwatu to the west and Nusa Dua to the east. There are some more other parts of the statue you can see, the hands of Vishnu, The Garuda’s head and its wings.

I was in Bali last year, but not in that area. I spent time in Candidasa, Ubud, and Munduk. From Munduk, I admired the sunsets over the Java Sea. That’s how close I came to your island 🙂
