Under the KAPOK TREE.

The Kapok tree is an outstanding and emergent tree of the tropical rainforests, It can grow to a height of 50 meters or more, towering over other trees in the rainforest. I am always amazed by its roots which every tree forms different root shapes, marvelous and artistic.

Botanic name is Ceiba Pentandra, sounds perfect name for this tree. Native to South America it now has spread to the primary rainforests of West Africa, and the Southeast Asian rainforests of the Malay Peninsula, and the Indonesian archipelago.

 

Pohon Kapuk atau Randu adalah pohon yang luar biasa dan menjulang tinggi dari hutan hujan tropis, Pohon ini dapat tumbuh hingga ketinggian 50 meter atau lebih, menjulang di antara pohon-pohon lain di hutan hujan. Saya selalu kagum dengan akarnya yang setiap bentuk pohon membentuk akar yang berbeda, luar biasa dan artistik.

Nama Botanic adalah Ceiba Pentandra, kedengarannya sebagai nama yang sempurna untuk pohon ini. Berasal dari Amerika Selatan dan kini telah menyebar ke hutan hujan utama Afrika Barat, dan hutan hujan Asia Tenggara dari Semenanjung Melayu, dan kepulauan Indonesia.
