PESTA RAKYAT BOGOR – CAP GO MEH 2015 dan KOTA BOGOR.

DUA PULUH RIBU PENONTON

Kamis, sore hari, 5 Maret 2015, Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) membuka pesta Rakyat Bogor bertema “Bogor Street Festival-Cap Go Meh 2015”. Mendampingi Presiden,  Ibu Iriana Widodo, Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Anies Baswedan, Gubernur Jawa Barat Ahmad Heryawan dan Wali Kota Bogor Bima Arya Sugiarto dan banyak pejabat pemerintah daerah lainnya.

“Dengan mengucapkan Bismillahirrahmanhirrahim, dengan ini festival Pesta Rakyat Kota Bogor dibuka dan dimulai,” kata Presiden saat ia mengangkat bendera tanda dimulainya festival di Kota Bogor.

Satu per satu peserta Karnafal lewat di depan panggung. menuju Jalan  Suryakencana yang sempit. Pertama marching band militer kemudian diikuti oleh peserta prosesi yang terdiri dari berbagai peserta dari ratusan usungang (tandu) sampai ratusan float.

Ketua festival, Arifin Hermawan berharap bahwa acara ini bukan hanya ikon pariwisata tahunan. “Bukan hanya kegembiraan, tetapi kegiatan ini harus bisa memperkuat persatuan dan kesatuan,” bangsa, katanya.

Selama beberapa dekade, acara Cap Go Meh telah diselenggarakan oleh comunitas Tionghoa Bogor yang biasanya diadakan pada hari ke-15 setelah hari raya Tahun Baru Imlek. Acara ini menempati area pusat perdagangan di Kota Bogor, Pasar Bogor dan Jalan Surya Kencana yang mayoritas  didiami oleh penduduk Tionghoa Bogor dan kuil “Vihara Dhanagun” sebagai pusat peribadatannya.

Pada tahun 2000, acara Cap Go Meh pertama dikoordinasi oleh pemerintah kota sebagai satu-satunya pesta besar di kota Bogor, yang sekarang dikenal dengan ” Pesta Rakyat Bogor”. Acara ini termasuk partisipasi dari berbagai pertunjukan budaya lokal dan budaya lain yang ada di Kotamadya Bogor dan sekitarnya. Nampaknya acara seperti ini, dari tahun ke tahun menjadi semakin menarik bagi penontonnya, seperti yang saya telah lihat secara langsung, dari waktu ke waktu. Festival terakhir yang baru saja usai telah berhasil menarik pengunjung kira-kira tidak kurang dari 20 ribu penonoton!

Tidak heran kalau arena yang sempit seperti di Jalan Surya Kencana menjadi sangat padat oleh pengunjung, sehingga perserta karnafal menjadi sulit untuk bergerak bahkan harus terpaksa berbaur dengan luapan penonton yang berdesakan memadati arena catwalk sepanjang lebih dari dua kilometer.

FESTIVAL YANG MENYEDIHKAN

Dibalik pesta yang berlangsung sangat meriah ini, ada banyak ketidak nyamanan didalamnya. Penyelenggaraan yang nampak seperti tidak terorganisasi dengan baik, arena yang sempit, pengunjung yang membeludak tidak terkendali, kondisi jalan yang sangat kotor, lingkungan yang semrawut,  dll, dll.

Hal yang menambah kesedihan adalah pada hari itu tidak seperti biasanya, hujan juga tidak turun. Seperti lazimnya orang-orang Tionghoa mengharap hujan turun pada saat-saat pesta berlangsung, karena ini akan membawa berkah sepanjang setahun kedepan. “Saya sangat sedih, karena hujan tidak turun” kata sekelompok orang Tionghoa yang saya temui ketika acara arak-arakan hampir selesai.  Apakah ini kemungkinan disebabkan ada pawang hujan karena kedatangan Jokowi? …. Oh tidak tahu ya.

20 THOUSAND VIEWERS

Thursday, March 5. 2015, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) opened the People’s festivity themed “Bogor Street Cap Go Meh Festival 2015”. Accompanying the president of the First Lady Iriana Widodo, the Minister of Education and Culture Anies Baswedan, West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan and the Mayor of Bogor Municipal City Bima Arya Sugiarto and many other regional government’s officials.

“By delivering bismillahirrahmanhirrahim, herewith Bogor city folk festival opened and starts,” the president said as he raised the flag marks the start of the festival in the city of Bogor.

One by one of the carnival passed in front of the stage. heading the narrow Suryakencana street was first a military marching band then followed by participants of the procession consisting of various actions from hundreds stretcher and hundreds float performers.

Chairman of the festival, Arifin Hermawan hope that this event is not just an annual tourism icon. “Not a merely excitement, but this activity should be able to strengthen the unity and integrity,” of the nation, he said.

CAP GO MEH

For decades, Cap Go Meh event had been organized by Bogor’s Chinese comunity that usually held on the 15th day after the feast of the Chinese New Year. This event occupies an area of the trade center in the city of Bogor, Pasar Bogor and Surya Kencana street in which these areas are occupied by the majority Bogor’s Chinese dwellers and Vihara Dhanagun temple as the center of worship.

In the year of 2000, the event “Cap Go Meh: firstly coordinated by the municipal government as the only big festivity in the city of Bogor, then called as “Bogor People’s Festival”. This event includes the participation of various local culture performances and other existing cultures in Bogor and its surroundings.

At present, this event becoming more and more attractive to viewers as well as its participants. As I had seen in person, from time to time, the latest festival held recently was attended amazingly by approximately not less than 20 thousand people!

No wonder, the narrow arena like in Surya Kencana street was  very crowded by visitors, so the procession had have difficulty to move on . They mingled with the overflow of the viewers that packed the over 2 km long arena.

SAD FESTIVAL

Behind the very lively festivity, there were a lot of discomfort in it. The event that looks like not well organized, narrow arena, visitors that overflowed the arena was uncontrolled, road conditions are very dirty, chaotic environment, etc, etc.

The sorrow appeared,the day was not as usual, the rain did not fall. As Chinese people expect rain fell at times when the festivity took place, because it will bring a blessing throughout the next year. “I am very sad, because it did not rain” said a group of Chinese who I encountered when the event procession is almost completed. Is it a possibility due to the rain mover since Jokowi arrival? …. Oh I do not know.
