In our house in Kathmandu we overlooked rice fields. I loved to watch the whole process of rice growing. Sadly, I think those fields (within the city boundaries) are now home to buildings.

Same as here, most of farmlands close to the city had changed into residential places. in the other side is a fool, the farmers sold the lands keep staying in the city, build and buy luxury things, house, cars,etc then finally they lost their property because they had left their profession as farmers.

It happens here too. Most of the farm land around the city where we used to go to buy fruit and vegetables has been sold for residential places.
